Does anyone have any tips on how to help grieving Psychic type Pokemon? Especially when you're not exactly at your most chipper either, so they're picking up on it, and it's just making things worse.
I've tried to give them space, but I don't think it's helping. They weren't originally mine, and I think they're still upset about having lost their previous trainer.

One of mine, an Espurr, greatly dislikes loud noises, or being surrounded by many people. I find that quiet environments and soft blankets are best for settling her.

I wonder if I can find a nice quiet place away from the busier parts of the city, let them enjoy that.

Taking them out for a day trip into the woods may be healing. Or whatever the Pokémon's natural environment may be.

I'm currently in Cianwood... Do you think one of the Safari Zones might be quiet enough, if I choose one that doesn't get visited often?
no subject
I have never been to Cianwood before, but there are many natural features there, correct?

Thanks for helping.

You are welcome. Good luck.

[That... actually really means a lot.]

He was a bit stoic, and not the most social of people, but I think they were all fond of him in their own way.

Perhaps you should reassure them that you will care for them?

I've tried, but a little more reassurance never hurt... I know all of his Pokemon fairly well. We were traveling partners.

Maybe instead of giving them space, you could kinda... get a little closer, I guess? When stuff like that happened to me, I hated to be alone. I wanted someone to listen and hug me and tell me it was gonna be okay, you know? Even if they couldn't actually make it okay, it felt nice just for someone to be there.
I dunno if that helps. Might not be how humans do it. But that's how I do it.

If it's not too rude to ask, what are you if you're not a human? I'm just curious.

What kind of animals did you hang out with?

Have you talked with that many Pokemon here?

[See what he did there? Eh? Eh?]
And yeah!!! Even in the big cities, Pokémon are literally EVERYWHERE. Which is great! It shows they can adapt to their environment, even when humans mess it up!

They really are impressive! Even different cities have different Pokemon that have adapted to them. It feels like no matter what, they can make themselves at home.

Well, Pokémon are resilient... like the ones who you just met. They'll keep on living... you just kinda gotta sit with 'em and listen to their problems.
Well, you won't understand what they say, but you know.

Fortunately, there's a lot to live for here.

I don't 'live for' much of anything, I just kind of keep on keeping on. [And has as much fun as possible on the way, of course.]

At least, not as far as I know.

I think it goes without saying that Pokemon form a special bond with their trainers, but once things get into the supernatural...geez.

Sometimes I'd talk to her about Maya -- that was her trainer -- but I don't know if that actually HELPED, or if I'm just a good storyteller.

I'm sure the rest of my Pokemon will be more than glad to help them feel at home.

They can understand each other better than we can, after all.

Have you heard of many people who are able to understand their Pokemon? Without the help of a Psychic type.

Thank you. Your Pokemon must be glad to be with you.
