Back where I'm from, there were never any seasons like there are here.

Every bit of the weather was controlled and left up to the desires of the people. Did more people want it to rain? To be sunny? For flowers to bloom, letting their petals float away on a breeze? Everything left up to a vote.

It feels strange to watch everything turn dull and quiet with nothing's input but Nature's own, and just as stranger to know that it will all bloom once more very much the same way.

Do you think that most situations can be like that- a two way street that has the possibility to flourish or fade away?

Or are there things that can't ever be changed from 'good' or 'bad' once they've happened?

Just some thoughts on a nice day.

That last one sounds horrible... That sort of thing never happened in Cloudbank. Violence like that, when it happened, was rare. At least until recently.

[And even then... That came not from malice or even on purpose. She supposes it's for that reason that it goes so well with what else they're talking about.]

It's painful to learn so many things like that, but at the same time, we're driven to learn about it. Ignorance is bliss, yet many people won't accept it so easily.

Then you're quite fortunate. Regrettably, such conflicts have arisen all across Luxendarc, though my friends and I have done our best to put an end to such quarrels. It's not a lifestyle I'd wish upon anyone, even if we've succeeded overall.

[A peaceful, carefree life must be refreshing, if not a bit dull from time to time. He's quite enjoyed his adventure, but even so, it'd be preferable if the crystals weren't oozing with darkness.]

Ignorance is bliss, perhaps, but I think it can be equally tormenting. As you said, we're driven to learn what lies beyond our grasp. And at times, ignorance can very well be one's downfall.

As an amnesiac, my own ignorance can be downright aggravating at times, even if it has allowed me a clean slate of sorts.

It's good to hear that there are people like you, then, that are there to help people... And better that you know how to do it.

I can only imagine how frustrating it is. Even if memories hurt us or drag us back, they're still a vital part of us.

Are your memories something that you're looking for, or are you just moving forward? If it's alright of me to ask.

True. And I certainly don't mean to brag. I can't begin to imagine the struggles faced by other worlds.

[They could be even worse than the turmoil on Luxendarc, which is a terrifying thought to be sure.]

In any case, it's a bit of both. I certainly wouldn't mind unraveling the mysteries surrounding my lost memories, but I've had so much more to contend with that it hasn't been an immediate priority.

I suppose now that I'm here, I'll have time to reflect.

If it makes you feel any better, this place is good for that.

With everything that's happened for myself, I've had a lot of time to think about it all. I'm not entirely sure if I've come to a firm resolution... But I feel I have the time to smooth it all out, instead of everything being hammered at me at once.

That's the impression I've gotten so far. The locals appear friendly, if a bit naive, and the battles seem more like a sport.

My only complaint is the endless music, and that's only a minor inconvenience.

How long have you been here?

Less than a day, and I'm still trying to get a grasp on the situation.

I'm afraid we don't really have a welcome pamphlet. If you just explore your Pokedex, you can figure out a lot of things. Cherrygrove City, the one you're likely to see head towards first, might also have a few things you can pick up.

Really, however, I don't mind questions. I'm glad to help.

Hopefully the residents will be more forthcoming than those in New Bark.

Still, since you offered, what else is there to do here aside from the obvious battles? I'd prefer a bit more variety, if possible.

Most of the average locals don't know much, unfortunately.

Well, there's a lot of areas to travel to, each city with its own attractions and scenery. Some people prefer just breeding Pokemon to purely battling with them... That's the main thing when it comes to them.

Some can get creative. I've heard there's a circus in Goldenrod, for example.

I've been speaking with a few others over this network, and I heard aren't any government officials to speak of. How this world manages to remain stable is a mystery to me.

A circus does sound interesting. Truth be told, I've never visited one myself, but it's not as if I've much else to do. Perhaps I'll pay it a visit.

I'm afraid politics isn't my strong suit. I've heard there's someone who's in our shoes who's been trying to take charge recently, but I'm not sure how that's going.

Hope you have fun. I went there in the fall myself. It seems that if people are creative, they can do whatever they like here.

Ah, he's one of the people I've contacted. It's certainly an ambitious move, though whether or not he'll succeed is up for debate.

I imagine the city will be enjoyable even with the potential upheaval. I've every intention to investigate the local restaurants once I arrive and see how the fashions compare to those of Luxendarc. Still, there's nothing stopping me from taking a small detour while I'm there.

I didn't go out to eat too much, but I can point you in the direction of a few places if you like. The fashion is definitely something lovely here, however. A bit binary, but that's alright, I suppose.

Binary for the sexes, you mean? Hopefully it's not too restrictive. I'm certainly a fan of women in skirts, but clothes are a means of expressing oneself! Provide too many limits, and you sacrifice variety.

Don't worry! There's plenty of variety. I think it's just a culture clash in my case.

So how does the culture compare? You've already mentioned the peculiar quirk with the seasons, but surely there's more to it.

I suppose the technology is definitely very much different, which is a bit connected. At the same time, it's not so different that I feel out of place.

No one has a file filled out on them either, which is definitely a change of pace.

By file, are you talking about a record? If so, what sort of information do they usually contain?

I imagine that for the Administrators, it's a bit more extensive, but you can usually just fine a short bit of information. Name, your age, gender, your selections, and a short sentence on why you chose them.

Just about everyone fills them out so it's not a very big secret.

Selections? Care to clarify? The term's a bit vague.

And is it required to create a file?

Sorry. It's such a common term to me, I didn't realize other people wouldn't know what it means. It's what you "select" when you go to school that will be the backdrop for your career.

For example, I selected "Music" and "Linguistics". The person I'm traveling with, Royce, selected "Engineering" and "Mathematics".

No, it's not required. However, it's considered so mundane and normal, people can't imagine having nothing and it rarely happens. My boyfriend did something a bit like that, however. He didn't even let his picture get taken. The only thing he filled out was the "Reasons Cited" area.
