Some Pokemon can be really hard to find, can't they? I spent all day yesterday hoping that one in particular would let me find them, but it's harder than it looks.

I guess they can't all be eager.

Since I've been performing to an empty set for so long, maybe I'll let this performance be a bit more public.

Take 53.

[The post suddenly changes to video as Red sets it up against her backpack. Anyone looking past her might be able to recognize the dim layout of Union Cave at one of the many pools about. This one seems to be one of the largest, water disappearing into the darkness ahead past the little camp Red has set up.]

[There's a Chatot perched on her should as she goes to sit by the water's edge. After a few moments, some humming starts to echo throughout the cavern. It's a duet, the Chatot seeming to 'hum' along with.]

[Off in the darkness, something seems to shift it and makes the water ripple towards the shoreline.]

[Red's reply might come a bit late.]

It just seems like a lot of rock type Pokemon in here.

That's it, mostly. Don't let any Onix sneak up on you.

Seems like they'd be pretty easy to spot but I might be wrong.

In the caves. Any boulder could be a Pokemon.

I guess when it's all so dim, you don't notice one way or another.

I think I preferred the birds honestly.

I love dark gloomy places as much as the next skeleton but I think I could live the rest of my days here without wandering into another cave.

You're a skeleton?

You don't say. So that makes me a skeleton too.

Guess we do. I'm not sure how I'd start a conversation with that, however. "Drink a lot of calcium today"?

[She might actually be sorta-laughing on the other end of the line now.]

Or "How about that knee of yours? I heard you couldn't find it last week!"

Maybe "watch out for the Cheins' new dogs, they tried to steal my forearm"?

I've nearly had that happen. I love dogs but sometimes they really aren't man's best friend.

[ladywithnovoice]

I think in those sort of cases, they're just not a skeleton's best friend.

What would be a skeleton's best friend, anyway?

A skeletal dog of course! They can bury their own bones!

[ladywithnovoice]

[It takes her a while to respond, because she tries to laugh loudly but that just brings about a coughing fit.]

Good point! I don't suppose they have those here in Johto, do they?

The closest I've found are Houndoom and Houndour. They're still great Pokemon!

Someone recommended Houndour to me. Do you have one?

[quickattackjack]

I do! He's a fantastic Pokemon and very energetic.

[ladywithnovoice]

That's great to hear. I'm hoping to get one myself at some point.

Just be ready for a fire pokemon if you haven't trained one before. I've lost so many curtains.

Don't worry. I have a Growlithe and an Arcanine. I've picked up on the whole fire thing.
