Who wants to teach a lady how to fistfight?

I'd gotten used to running around, it feels strange not to keep in shape like that anymore. It seems like a good skill to learn, besides.

Fighting hardly ever happened back home.

Sometimes it still feels strange to think about.

That's lucky. Not being able to throw an axe made me the odd one out, back home.

What makes you want to learn to fight here? You don't even really have to train pokemon for fighting, if you don't want. I have a couple that have never battled.

I guess I'd feel a little safer.

Things happen when you least expect them to, after all.

This place does have a few dangerous people out there, I guess.

I don't know if it makes you feel any better, but we can't die here. I've even met people who were dead before they were brought to Johto.

Almost makes it sound like The Country when you put it like that.

Are you talking about Team Rocket when you talk about dangerous people?

The Country... You mentioned it to Eve, I think. Is that where your dead go, or can living people go there too?

The ones that have caused trouble with things like exploding cities, stealing pokemon... I think they've all been from Team Rocket, yeah.

It's definitely a one stop trip. When you go there, you don't come back.

They sound like a charming bunch.

I'm sure it's not an even split. There's bound to be good people in Team Rocket just as there's bound to be bad people outside of it. Most of the people I've met have been friendly.

You meet a lot of them?

Not as many as I could... I do better with pokemon than people usually, if I'm being honest.

[ladywithnovoice]

That's fine. Sometimes I don't either.

The person I'm traveling with definitely doesn't.

I feel kind of bad, not having any tips to offer. Especially after you hummed for me.

Don't think of it as a favor. I was doing that because I like to, and I liked talking to Eve.

She liked talking to you, too. I think aside from my friend and our pokemon, you were the first person she really got to talk to in

...huh. A year, as of today.

That's a long time.

I gave her her own pokegear now, though. She can text or play games to her heart's content. I'm sure it's only a matter of time before she stops being fascinated by Tetris and messages you again.
