ladywithnovoice | Function (1) - Text/Action for Route 29

[Eventually, after punching Royce and a couple one sided conversations and getting the hang of battling before anything else, Red finally discovers her own 'Gear has a text function. She actually types a lot... It's just that none of it really goes through, every line deleted. There's so much to say, she doesn't even know where to start.]

[Well... Royce is on information gathering duty, as much as he hates talking with people, so she finally decides to go with something more mundane.]

I don't know who voted for all the rain, but I don't suppose anyone wants to let a lady borrow an umbrella? [A pause before she adds-] Or a pack of cigarettes.

[And because she can't help herself...]

As for these Pokemon, are there any kind that can sing? Or any more dogs. I wouldn't mind another if I could figure out where to find one.

[For anyone in New Bark or on the route itself, they'll be able to see Red along it along with an Electrike that's constantly chasing Pokemon out of the tall grass. They're both actually rather quiet, but she's quick to look up when she realizes there's someone else nearby. Well... Someone besides Royce, who's nearby as wel and who she's also keeping an eye on.]

I don't think I'll be visiting anytime soon, then.

I think Miseryville is kinda far from this place anyway, so you prolly won't have to worry about that.

So where are you from?

Cloudbank. It's the only place I've ever known.

Cloudbank? That sounds like a nice place.

I liked it when Farrah Yon-Dale used to paint the skies, so times when clear skies got the winning vote were the ones I preferred. She really knew how to make it an art. I used to watch them come to life on the balcony of my apartment.

Wait, paint the sky? That sounds so cool!

Yeah. She took requests, too. It wasn't anything anyone had really done before. It was just voted on. She's the one who made it something amazing.

Wow...I wish I could see something like that.

Yeah.

[A brief pause.]

No one decides that sort of thing here?

No, not that I know of. I mean, the sky is a different color here than it is at home, but people tell me that's normal.

[Well. Wow.]

That's amazing.

Yeah, I guess it is!

[Yes, Jimmy. Nature is amazing.]

[Her excuse is that everything in Cloudbank is artificial, alright?]

I guess we can't blame anybody on the rain. Royce might be a little disappointed about that part.

Haha, yeah. It's not so bad though, just so long as you aren't caught on a route in the middle of a storm. Plus you've got someone to travel with, so that's even better!

[He did too before there were...complications that resulted in him going it alone for now.]

Is there a way to tell how long it'll keep raining?

Not really...you kinda just gotta wait it out most of the time.

[Yaknow, if freak snow storms in July are any indication of how the weather gets around here.]

Once Royce gets his cigarettes, let's hope he can too.

[Jimmy has a brief inclination to ask about that, but....he decides to just let it pass for now. Cigarettes must be important if Royce needs them.]

What's the next town called?

It's called Cherrygrove City! It's not too far away, just a couple days worth of traveling.

Is it a nice place?

Yeah, I think so! I stayed there for a little while when I got there for the first time. It's right next to a beach, too.

I can't imagine the beach will be much in this weather.

Still, it sounds nice. Maybe we'll stay there for a while until we've gotten a better handle on things.
